Can the Lollipop System UI Version 5.0 be rolled back?

[AC Question]

Samsung Note 3 Lollipop system UI version 5.0 is NOT user friendly and the colors are horrible. Settings menu on phone no longer brings up settings, app buttons, message display, default colors all terrible. Teal, orange yellow etc. 1980 called and wants its theme back. Help! Is there any way for me to roll back/undo the System UI update?

Welcome to Android Central! You could try flashing the KitKat firmware using Odin: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...w-flash-stock-rom-via-odin-new-interface.html. Find the proper firmware here: Firmwares - SamMobile. But once back to KitKat, it will probably prompt you again to update, so you then might have to root the phone and disable the system updates. Hi... Sorry to jump into this conversation but I have a similar question... I am a developer and I have a Galaxy 7 Android phone. Recently I updated the software... When I try to build my game now it crashes. Never did this before. Also, It does not crash on my Android Tablet and my older Galaxy phone... I am assuming it might have to do with the update. I am wondering how I can go back to the software before the update? Does anybody know if there are known issues with the latest software? Thanks... Fred Miller

As a developer, are you using the latest development tools? Are you looking at your crash logs? Why not try to fix the problem with the app instead of blaming the OS update (which will invariably cause at least SOMETHING in an app to break)?

Its weird... I went back to a version that I know was stable and played perfectly before the update and built to my Galaxy 7... Still crashes... Just stops playing and goes to desktop. The game is 78 mbs so it isn't too large. It works great on my tablet and older phone though... Weird... Also... My other games that I am designing do not crash at all....

You can't go back to KitKat, that phone never had that OS.
