How do i stop a app from being installed.It's stuck on downloading for 2days.

I have a LePan android tablet. Model TC1010. It won't let me stop installing a app. Its been stuck for 2 days. I hit stop installing when asked but it doesn't work. I don't know anything about technical terms. I need someone to explain so I understand the next best thing to do.All I know is that I can still see the arrow pointing down still trying to install. HELP!! Thank You

Welcome to Android Central! Go to System Settings>Apps>All​, and select Download Manager. Tap Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. If you're using Google Play Store, select that as well, and also Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now see if the problem persists.
