How can I empty my Gmail inbox at once

Welcome to Android Central! You can't--at least, not on the Gmail app. All you can do is long-press an email, then multi-select emails manually, after which you can tap the garbage can to delete them. I think they left out a Delete All feature because that can be a bit dangerous--that's not something you want to tap by accident.
