    Tried to charge the battery before I pulled it. Was not able to get any response. I took the battery out, checked voltage (3.77V), then left it out for 45+ minutes. I put the battery back in the phone and it started up. My Norton 360 protection flagged the Viber app as having a moderate risk of causing problems. I used Norton to uninstall the Viber App, then put the phone on charge, after Norton gave the remaining Apps a clean rating.

    So, is it likely that this was the issue? Any other things I should be doing?

    So the battery had not discharged overnight?
    Did you check your overnight battery usage stats? Anything unusual?

    There are many false warnings still popping up on Android - Viber is one of them. If your meter is accurate, the battery is fine. The computer (in the phone) may have just hung on something - pulling the battery is a hard reset, which can clear hung software and hung hardware.
