Why can't I download apps from the Google Play store on my Google Nexus 5. !?

I can't download apps from google play store on my Google Nexus 5. !

Have had phone for 8 months & never had this problem before. It just seems to have decided it doesn't want to download anymore.

Welcome to Android Central.

Try Settings, Apps, swipe to All, scroll to Google Play Store, and select Clear Cache. Then Power Off and Restart the phone.

Get back to us if that doesn't fix it.

If that doesn't work, try also Clear Data from the Google Play Store app info page. While you're at it, select Download Manager from Settings>Apps>All, and Clear Cache/Clear Data there.

Are you getting any error messages, or does it just seem to sit there forever with a Downloading notification?
