Tab2 won't allow factory reset
I got a used Tab2 (AT&T version) from a friend. It's been acting sluggish, so I went to do a factory reset. But it will not do it, whether I do it through the Settings menu, or by pressing the volume up + power combo.
During the process where I attempt to reset, this screen comes up with a red android logo with a pirate eye patch. It talks about "Rooting SuperSU", but when I run the Root checker app, it says that the device is not rooted.
So is it possible that it was partially done? Either way, how do I override the system & get back to a factory reset?
As a side note, I'm relatively tech savvy, but have never rooted a device before and reading about the process gives me a bit of a headache! ;-)
Thanks in advance for any advice!
