Smart switch sync issue

I'm using Windows 8.1 Outlook 2013 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Encountered an issue when trying to sync my Outlook with Galaxy Note 2 (contacts and calendar). Getting a message: "There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

Outlook is the only (default) program I use on my PC. I cleaned the registry and uninstalled and reinstalled Smart Switch several times. Nothing is wrong with Outlook as it happened only when I installed Smart Switch and removed Kies 3. I tried going back to Kies, but encountered the same problem. Any ideas?

I experience the same problem with Outlook 2013.
I then tried Outlook 2007 and it was fine.

Can somebody explain to me?
