Why does my Galaxy S5 reboot when I take, or make phone calls?

So I recently updated to Lolipop, now when I get or make a phone call, my phone restarts, it doesn't come up with the call screen at all, the button looks about halfway pressed then the phone resets itself. I've factory reset it, gone back to kitkat and reupdated, it still crashes, I'm not rooted. Phone calls worked on kitkat.

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10696

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.

Hey I signed up to reply, it still didn't work in safe mode, but calls work in Kitkat so it would be firmware based?

It sure sounds like a firmware issue. When you re-updated, was it OTA again? Have you tried flashing the stock ROM via Odin? http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...w-flash-stock-rom-via-odin-new-interface.html. Find the proper firmware here: Firmwares - SamMobile

You could also bring the phone to your carrier and show them what their update did to your phone, and describing all you've done to try to fix it. They might offer a replacement.

I did the update via samsung Kies, think that would do it?

Not sure--I don't have any real world experience with Samsung (just what I read).
