Losing pictures and Contacts.

I recently broke my phone by cracking the screen on the inside. I was worried that I'd lose my contacts and pictures. I got a new phone and inserted the SIM card and SD card into my brand new phone. It surprised me that I had contacts of people 2 years ago when I first got the phone and the new ones that I had when I broke it were gone. I then checked my pictures no surprise they were all gone. I'm honestly confused on what to do next. :'( :-\

The missing contacts and pictures are probably on the phone's internal storage. What you do net depends on how important thy are to you. You can pay a shop to plug a spare screen into the old phone and copy the pictures to an SD card, then export all your contacts to the SIM card, then import them all to your Google account and sync the phone. Then the contacts will appear on the new phone. (If any are missing after that, go to Google Contacts, click More, click Restore contacts, and you can restore any contacts deleted up to 30 days ago.)
