How do I get my email attachment to shut after I have viewed it.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I have emails on it. When I open the email I can get the email attachment to open up, but then it won't close, when I go to the next email, it is still showing the previous attachment. I have to wait hours before it will move to another attachment.
