    Hello
I have an HTC One X (about 3 years)
I tried doing a system update on my phone
My phone seemed to work well but then it kept restarting and I couldn't access my settings app but the other apps opened up fine
I decided to do a factory reset to see if it would stop it from the continuous rebooting (I lost everything btw but I'll be able to get it back)
My phone is still on a continuous reboot and I also can't access my settings app, but I am able to open other apps
    The battery also heats up
And it keeps up the continuous reboot until it goes dead
    Help please?

Welcome to Android Central! I assume your phone is rooted and this system update is a custom ROM that you flashed? It would be highly unlikely for a phone this old to have an official update from HTC or from your carrier.
