Using my Jpeg Photos as Wallpaper doesn"t work???

I have several pic's from my Nikon Camera which shoots jpeg on my Google Drive and everytime I try to save them on my Wallpaper its way over blown. What part of this equation am I not understanding?

The image needs to be formatted to the screen resolution of your device. If it's not, it will be enlarged and you'll have to crop it. Let us know what device you have and we'll help with the screen resolution. Alternatively, you can view the image on your device and take a screen shot, then set the screen shot of that image as the wallpaper. You will have to crop out the top status bar and will have some black bars on top and bottom, but you'll get the image to set in its entirety.
