Why does the green dot not show when I recieve a message on facebook?

I have recently done the most current Samsung Galaxy S4 update and now when I receive any notifications no light comes on. This includes texts, messages or facebook notifications. How do I make the light reappear as it did before?

Welcome to the forums. It may have been removed by one of the updates. You can email the developer and ask why it was removed, or how to enable it.
