HTC One M8 is booting into fastboot. Just need to get pictures off device, any help?

My boss has asked me for help getting pictures off of her HTC One M8. It is only booting into fastboot. I know this is the end of the phone, and she has already bought a new one. Like many people though, she did not make sure that her pictures were syncing to the cloud correctly. It's been a while since I have dove into the adb commands, but I am able to if necessary. If anyone could provide me with some guidance I would greatly appreciate it.
