Why is my internet running so slow when i'm connected to my wifi at home.

This is the error that I am getting when I use the internet on my HTC One m8...
error DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG
This problem only started after my phone updated to the new Lollipop software version. My phone is on the Verizon Wireless network.
If I turn the wifi off on my phone the internet works great but as soon as I turn it back on it almost non existent weird. When I am out and about and connected to other peoples wifi it also works great so the problem seems to be just on my home network.
I am running the X1 Platform with Xfinity through comcast cable.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
