It is normal for updates to take so long after factory resetting my LG G3?

So I factory reset my LG G3. It seems that most of my apps were saved to my Google account/Google Play Store account. I believe it is redownloading all the updates that I've ever had gone through on my phone. I only have Google re-updating right now, but the problem is that my phone has been on for like 2 hours straight and it's still not finished. Is that normal? Should I expect these updates to take a really long time? I also wanted to know, do the downloads still download while my phone is off, or do they stop until I cut it back on?

I don't recall how long it took when I last did a reset, but 2h sounds long. Are you using wifi? Is the signal good? Is it a busy time?
Downloading will continue with the phone sleeping, but not if powered off.

No, I was using my mobile data. It's still stuck on the Google updates and I have a lot more to do. Any advice?

Power the phone off and restart it. It may have just got hung up during the updates. Was this a standard factory reset or was there an update of some sort?

It was a standard factory update. I tried restarting it but it's still doing the same thing.
