Update failed on Samsung Galaxy S4

[AC Question]

I have a unlocked AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 which is running Kitkat version 4.4.3. When I check for updates, I see an update available for 488 MB, it downloads and then installs but fails at 27% every time. It just says update failed and reboots. I tried even doing factory reset and trying the same but it failed again. I checked online but was not able to get a proper answer. What are my options to update my phone to Android 5.0? I tried taking my phone to Samsung experience in best buy and they said they would not be able to upgrade a phone which is unlocked.

Will AT&T store be able to do the upgrade? How do I get past this error and update my phone? It will be great if someone can guide me
