mt tab s 10.5 upgraded yesterday, and now the finger print scanner has disappeared.

i have gone into the secutity tab to change the settings but nothing is selectable and the page is frozen there is a white flashing arrow where the scanner should be
also when using the password, the screen only stays on for less than 2 seconds, if you dont hit a key within this time it goes back to sleep

If the cache partition wipe doesn't help, see if you can go to ​Settings>Security>Clear Credentials.
