How do I stop the screen turning display on when I open the flip cover for galaxy s5?

I have the official flip cover for the galaxy s5. It has the two chips at the back and the waterproof seal. Whenever I flip the cost open the display automatically turns on. It's there a way to disable this. I have tried going into settings but all I see is the automatic unlock and I have tried turning it on and off. Still no results. What do I need to do?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>System>Accessories, and see if there is an S-View Cover listing. If so, turn off Automatic Unlock.
