Why has my contact list stopped working?

I tried to insert a contact from my saved contacts in my orange(EE) mail account and it said that it was not available but none of the options offered was of any help. Is it a fault with EE(orange) or my computer? It is the same on all my devices.

It sounds like an EE support issue. I am not sure when you say insert.
I didn't know EE / Orange had an email service.
Were they available on your phone Contacts by Menu -Contacts to Display - Orange contacts (depending on device), or just via that email account.

I would have tried to merge them with Google.
