why is my galaxy s4 messing up?

I have a galaxy s4 from verizon and ive had it for a couple months now. And whenever i take my headphones out of my headphone jack it says "this sound effect only works in earphone mode only" this has been going on for a couple days now and i cant figure out how to fix it will someone tell me what this means and how to fix it?!

Is there an audible message or a pop-up on the screen? Either way, I would suggest going into the accessibility settings (system settings > accessibility) and see if there is anything in there that has a setting for that feature.
