Mediaserver bug fixed?

Hi, am experiencing rapid battery drain on my note 3 for about an year now, all of a sudden battery drains within an hour when fully charged, when i check it displays as 77% mediaserver. Very frustrating Android have not yet fixed this issue.

Welcome to Android Central! When Mediaserver is working a lot and battery is draining, it is often related to a corrupt media file on the microSD card. The system's Media Scanner gets stuck trying to scan the file, which increases CPU use and therefore drains battery. Try unmounting the card (in Settings>Storage), removing it, and rebooting. See if Mediaserver calms down after that.
