after att software update, when I use slide button to connect to wifi
I cannot get to internet, just says cannot show web page, but when sliding button off I can connect

When wifi is off it connects to your wifi router? Or it connects to the internet by mobile data?

It sounds as if something went wrong with the update. Bring the phone into AT&T and ask them for help. They might send you to the Device Support Center (which will be in some AT&T store near you). They can redo the update.

Make sure you're backed up first, though (see Backing up an Android Device) - some AT&T DSCs have a habit of just giving you a working device and letting Samsung worry about yours. (It's better for you - the device has been thoroughly checked out to meet new specs, and you don't waste time watching their computer talking to your phone.)
