how do you access your other apps while making a phone call.

I just upgraded from a galaxy s4 to a galaxy s6 and wanted to know how you return to your home page or apps while on the phone. With the S4 I would just press the back button to access my home screen so i can open another app - lets just say my password manager app to get a password while i'm talking on the phone.

Once on the phone you can just push your home button and it will take you back to your home screens. Same result as if you weren't on that phone .
