Galaxy S6, w/ 8 Gmail accts. How to merge each of the 4K contacts w/o doing it individually?

AC Question

I have the Galaxy S6 with 8 Gmail accounts and there are 8+ individual contacts of each contact. How can I merge them all, without going in to merge each of the 4K contacts individually?

I have setup a custom view of my contacts, hoping it would limit the contacts to one each. However, when I go to contacts, merge, it pulls up over the 4436 contacts and will show the same contact in 5-10 individual contacts for the same person. HELP!

The cleanest way is to download all of the contacts from gmail (export) - put them all into one CSV (you can de-dupe there or later) and then import that one file to gmail, deleting the rest. Then gmail has an automatic merge function on the desktop site that can clean it up further.
