Why is my screen locked?

I'm not able to touch my screen because it is locked. I can activate my android tablet (4.4.2 version) using my Bluetooth keyboard, but otherwise I cannot touch it. How do you get this off, or to unlock, so that I am able to touch it again?

Do you remember the Google account that you had on the device? You can try logging into your account via Android Device Manager on a PC to setup a new password.
