How did my touch screen (android tablet 4.4.2 version) manage to lock itself?

AC Question

I was trying to access my tablet. I thought my screen was frozen but it turns out that there is a lock on my screen. I can still access it with my Bluetooth keyboard but I can't activate my touchscreen because I do not know where to start. Can someone please help me? How do you unlock the screen lock?
