I accidentally swiped my fingerprint 5 times and now I forgot my backup password. Can I recover my password without resetting my phone to factory settings?

Welcome to Android Central! If you fail the backup password, does it ask for your Google credentials? If so, that's one way. Make sure your Google account isn't set to 2-factor authentication, since that can cause problems with this process. If you're able to recover the phone, then reactive 2-factor authentication.
