my brand new sim card wont detect in my phone.

Hi there can anyone help me? I have a alcatel onetouch boost 5.0 and my brand new sim card won't detect, I've already rebooted my phone many times and pulled my sim card out and put it back in.

The SIM card could be bad. Or the phone could have a problem. Try another SIM if possible to try and eliminate the phone as the trouble. This sounds like it will require a trip to your service provider to get it resolved.
