s4 is not detecting headphones

Just day before yesterday I got an update after updating my phone (s4) is not detecting headphones. The notification doesn't pop-up when I plug in the headphones. Any advice?

Could have been the update that caused the issue. A lot of people have had a ton of problems after updating their phones to Lollipop. Most are resolved when they do a factory reset of their phone. If you go that route make sure to back up all your photos and essential data to a computer or the cloud.
