I have an htc one m9 and when the headphones are plugged in it is playing music through both the headphones and the speakers. I have tried different headphones and nothing changes. Is there something in the setting I've pressed or is it a software fault?

    Welcome to Android Central!

What music player are you using? Have you checked the settings of the music app to see if there is a feature that allows that?
