Samsung S4 Lollipop update: Lockscreen ASCII characters turning into white boxes?

A

AC Question

Over time the ASCII characters on the lock screen (and recently I've noticed it in the notification pull-down and home screen as well) turn into white boxes. It might start with just the big numbers 0-9, then slowly take over the letters as well, and even the number in the date so it will read Mon June 

If it's charging it will show Charging: %

Eventually all the characters turn into white boxes and will stay that way until the device is rebooted.

It does not affect the keyboard or text messaging it seems to only apply to overlaid parts of the app like the notification bar and lock screen.

Anyone else having this problem?
