I started the update this morning and now it is asking me to reboot system, apply update from adb, apply update from external storage, apply update from cache, wipe date/factory reset, wipe cache partition, reboot to bootloader, power down, view recovery logs? am I supposed to pick one of the options for the update or did something go wrong when it started. it has been the same screen for about 20 mins now. sorry this was for the s6.

Somehow you entered into the recovery menu, which shouldn't have happened. Select reboot system (use the volume buttons) and use power to accept. When it reboots you should be back up and running. Give the first boot time to complete.
