Why will my new SD card not work in my Galaxy Tab S tablet when it does work in my Galaxy S5 phone?

I have a Galaxy Tab S and recently bought a 32GB SD card to replace my 8GB one which worked fine. Any time I try to put any files onto the new SD card it says it has failed to do so.
I put the card into my Galaxy S5 and tried the same thing and it worked. So I just wondered if anyone knows why it won't work on my tablet?
