I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. When taking a video (such as on snapchat, or instagram, etc). Before I start the recording, the image is perfectly focused. The second I start recording, the camera completely unfocuses over about 1 to 2 seconds. Once everything is completely blurred, it stops changing the focus.
I would test this in the default camera however the default camera app starts recording immediately once you select the video option, so there's no chance to check focus before activating the recording.
Does anyone know why this is? It's already auto-focused (sometimes manually focused) to the correct amount before the record button is clicked. Why does it want to unfocus and blur everything? There is no macro option in the settings but there shouldn't need to be considering the focus is perfect before record is clicked, meaning it definitely CAN focus on the object, it just won't. Pictures come out fine, but video seems to not want to focus on anything specific.
