Fingerprint Scanner not working?

Okay, so I bought a new Samsung Galaxy S5 today, and of course, set it up, updated everything. When I tried to register my fingerprint, it wasn't detecting my finger.
The number isn't getting checked or anything, no errors or something like that. It's just not recognizing my fingerprint. Any ideas why?

Is it giving you an error when you try to scan your prints or is it just not working at all?
