After years of use, my phone has started to have periods where it gives an 'alert' sound and subtracts minutes. It has periods where it dings more than twice a minute, and periods where it is silent for days. I can't find anything that identifies the cause. I have changed the 'hours' and 'minutes' displays. I have turned off Bluetooth, browser and WiFi with no change,
I have been told that I should turn off 'mobile data collection', but I don't know what it is. I cannot find anything like that on the phone. All I do, is make phone calls, and text

Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give me.''
