    It's part of Samsung's Touchwiz that gives you a quick look at your notifications etc. Even if you abandon Touchwiz (I use Nova Launcher) it keeps on running and giving itself permission to read your notifications no matter how many times you unchecked the permission box. Isn't that nice?

    The disable option on my Galaxy tab s 8.4 is greyed out for quick briefing.

    That might be one of those things I disable with Package Disabler Pro from the Play Store. You can disable anything with that and it is only for Samsung devices.

    Yup, it is on the list. Also on my Note 5, when I edit the homescreens, I can uncheck it.

    Package Disabler is great. You can even disable Knox stuff, but be careful, you can disable system things too, it is almost like root access.

    Yup.. Disabling bloat has been the only reason I ever rooted a Samsung phone, never loaded a custom ROM. This solves it. If you get an OS update though, re-enable all and update, then disable again.
