Can't verify Whatsapp or viber

Just bought a Galaxy A5, I put my old sim into my new phone and downloaded whatsapp. Tried to verify my number but didn't recieve text or call. Tried several times. No answers from WhatsApp support and I've followed all their FAQs.
Same with viber which makes me think it's my phone.
Please help!

Apps like WhatsApp won't let you use the same account, at the same time, in two different devices. You'll need to remove it from your old phone before using the new one.
