G4 Default Phone Editor won't Save, missing options?

I got my G4 two days ago and played a little bit with the built in editor (Gallery and Google Photos) after taking a photo and it worked fine. If I remember correctly I could even tilt shift the photo. I am now not finding any option to do this or much else. Now when I use the app it seems like there are missing options, I cannot find the tilt shift one anywhere. It also will not save the edited photos (such as a simple crop). Does anyone know where these options went/are?
