I got my G4 two days ago and played a little bit with the built in editor (Gallery and Google Photos) after taking a photo and it worked fine. If I remember correctly I could even tilt shift the photo. I am now not finding any option to do this or much else. Now when I use the app it seems like there are missing options, I cannot find the tilt shift one anywhere. It also will not save the edited photos (such as a simple crop). Does anyone know where these options went/are?

this happened to me too. the built in photo editing tools were a massive selling point for me. really unimpressed. does anyone have an explanation/reason for it?

I had a similar problem and even started a thread too. Hoping I can figure out what happened.

This is the way my editing app looks now, but before, it was different. No clue how it changed.

Did you donwload, install, or use the google photos app? That caused the edit funtion to stop working in the stock gallery app. Uninstalling does not help. You will have to do a factory reset and avoid the google photos app.

I am doing a factory reset right now, but my issue is, I really like google photos for the backup capability. I had the previous version of google photos and the editing tools were there, then photos forced an update on me, literally forced, would let me see my photos without the update, and afterwards the editing tools were gone. Why would LG take the time and money to put such awesome editing tools, just to allwow Google bulldoze them off the phone with a stupid Photos update!?!?!?

Yep I agree it's weird how that happens. I ended up using the Flickr app to auto upload my pictures.

I recently for the LG V10 and Google Photos is built into the factory image so right off the bat the edit mode in LG Gallery does not work.

    This is so annoying!
So essentially to get the LG editor back, I need to do a factory reset...but then I wont be able to use the backup facility of Google photos?

This is absolutely ridiculous!! Google photos has all my back up photos and videos from the past 3 years so theres no way I can stop using it or change to a different back up now, but the very fact it blocks my stock LG G4 photo editor is making me wanna go mad. Why would they do that the absolute wankers!!
