I find that at home (in the UK) I am able to get a perfect GPS signal with both my Nexus 5 and my girlfriend's LG G3. However, when we've been travelling abroad we've really struggled with the GPS on both of these phones, and have actually resorted to using an old HTC One X as the GPS seems fine on this. We've experienced these problems in Ireland and Costa Rica so far.

I'm wanting to get a LG G4 but the GPS is one of the most important features for me, so I'm hesitant to buy one without some assurance that I won't experience the same problems.

Is this a common thing? Is the G4 likely to be any better?

    Thanks,

    Pete
