Why am I not getting all my emails on my Galaxy 6+disappear before I can get a chance to read them?

Up until yesterday I was getting my emails regularly on my Galaxy 6. Now I am only getting one or at the most two. Then when I check my Inbox they are no longer listed and is neither in my Unread or Trash folders.

What email app are you using? Have you tried removing the email account and then adding it back?
