    I have had an LG G2 for about a year and a half. For the last few days, the screen has been timing out during video playback. I don't have any problems keeping it active during other activities such as games or browsing, but for some reason, it has been timing out during video playback after 30 seconds (the set time for the screen to turn off when idle). After I reactivate it, the video will play again for 30 seconds, then the screen times out. Any thoughts to the cause or solution?

    Welcome to Android Central!

    It sounds like your phone is not recognizing that a video is playing. Did you update to Lollipop recently?

    I'm having the same issue. It's mainly with Facebook videos even in the app. I am running a Nexus 6 with Cyanogenmod nightlies (12.1-20150918). Not sure what's happening.

    Hello my friends. I'm using Galaxy S advance with cyanogenmod 11. I have had same problem. Here is my solution:
    Go settings->display->uncheck adaptive backlight
    Go settings->apps->reset app perferances (from 3-dot menu)
    I hope this will help you too.
