Samsung galaxy ace 3 Will not take pictures on a selfie stick when you press the button to take a picture all it says is cannot zoom in and out of this mode do I need to download something to make this work if so could you point me in the right direction please

Welcome to Android Central! Is this stick the kind that plugs into the phone's headphone jack, or is it Bluetooth?

Usually, you have to make sure the Camera is set to allow the Volume button to be the shutter release. Open Camera, go to its settings, and look for that option. If you don't have the option, then the selfie stick might not work with this phone. An alternative might be install a 3rd party camera app that does give you the option to make the Volume button be the shutter release.
