Why is my battery draining so fast?

I feel like I have to plug my phone in 2 to 3 times a day and I don't do much. Just me typing this information it is down by another 4%.

I have got rid of a bunch of apps that I don't use anymore and am in the process of getting rid of the over 2 thousand pictures I have on there, but it is also lagging so much.

I checked the battery usage and it says "Android System" and the "Screen" are using most of it.

HELP!

Welcome to Android Central.

With normal use, Screen should top the list, but it's okay for Android System to be quite high....fairly inevitable in fact.

Perhaps your battery needs replacing?

A Factory Reset may also be worth considering. Let us know if you need advice about how to do that with minimal loss of personal data.

How low do you let the battery go before charging it? How old is it? An old battery, or one that's discharged too deeply too often, usually needs replacement. It doesn't hold a charge well.
