Transferred music from computer to phone won't show up on google music player.

AC Question

The newly added music shows up in the internal storage, but won't play. Only the music in Audio will play on the music player. The music is in a spot called Music, the music the phone recognizes is in my_music. Also, the Music folder? won't play the new music it contains.

Welcome to Android Central!

Did you try rebooting your phone after you put the music on it? In the past I has the same issue and it took a reboot for Google Music to see the files.

Music players only "see" what the media scanner has found, and transferring files doesn't transfer the media scanner. Restarting does. (So does taking a picture or video or recording a sound.) Or you could run media.Re.Scan after copying to force a rescan.
