How do you answer the Motorola Moto X phone?

I just got the moto x phone, and I am having problems answering it.

When the phone rings and you get the circle with the phone in the middle put your finger in the middle of that circle and your options show up. Slide one way and it answers, slide the other and it ignores and dumps to voicemail. You may get a 3rd option to ignore and reply with a text.

I looked up the getting started guide for the Moto X and found it funny that this is not covered on that.
