I want to sell my iPhone but first

I want to erase all data but it says unable to connect to icloud but I never used the cloud also there's no service.

I've never had to reset my iPhone but if I recall right you can do it either by connecting to iTunes on a PC and plugging your phone in, or directly on the untethered phone. If you do it untethered and don't backup to iCloud first, your personal data will be lost.
