Why doesn't my Samsung S5 recognize my micro SD card?

yesterday I need to transfer the contents of my sd card to my pc because I received a replacement phone. I downloaded most of the data except for two videos. The micro card reader wouldn't read the SD anymore. When I put the SD card into the phone, it wouldn't recognize it on the phone. It won't show any contents of my card not even that my card is mounted on the phone. I don't think I erased anything on the card. Please help

Welcome to Android Central! When you downloaded the files from the SD card to your computer, did you use the Copy command or the Move command? Copy leaves the original source file intact, while Move deletes the source file.

When you insert the card into the phone, does it show up in Settings>Storage or not? You said that the phone doesn't recognize the card, but also that the card is mounted. If the phone doesn't recognize the card, it won't be mounted.
